Speed issue on iPhone with iOS4

Apple is investigating reports that the latest iPhone operating system (iOS) causes problems for users. Apple is aware of the reports and is looking into the matter, a spokeswoman told Digits.

The most common problem is that the phone is slow after an iOS upgrade to ver.4. There are also many complaints that the phone drains the battery quickly and becomes excessively hot. Concern about general problems such as slowness and battery life on gadgets isn’t unusual.

I found one guy with similar issue yesterday. He has iPhone 4 with latest iOS 4.0.1 and 3GS one with 3.1.3. We spent more than 2h and check about 5 VPN servers (PPTP and L2TP/IPsec) with both devices to compare resutls.

And here we go. Same ISP, same server to test and same account on server but after~10 min connection VPN on new iPhone 4 with new iOS become slower. For example with 3GS - if we had about 5mbit by Speedtest.net with iPhone 4 we had 1.5-2mbit from same server at Speedtest.net.

And after antenna disputes and “free case program” hope they fix issue but not ask to improve VPN standards :)
